# 35.What is a private key?

The private key is a randomly generated positive integer. A unique private key will be randomly generated and assigned when a block chain wallet is created, possessing the private key of the wallet means possessing the control of the wallet assets. So the private key cannot be disclosed to anyone and can only be controlled by yourself.
